Why are there 3 different copyright notices? Brianjd 08:54, 2004 Dec 12 (UTC)

(moved from User_talk:Ish_ishwar):

Hi, you just uploaded Image:Mescalero tipis.jpg and it needs some sort of copyright tag. Ie, if it is GNU FDL then add {{GFDL}} or if public domain {{PD}}. Evil MonkeyTalk 22:18, Dec 12, 2004 (UTC)

I dont know about this. I believe the photograph is public domain, but the Denver Public Library says its pages are copyrighted with permission given for fair use. I guess this applies to the digital reproductions? I dont know. If the digital images are copyrighted then I suppose Wikipedia people will have to contact the library if they want to sell this. Since you probably know more about this can you verify the status? I have labelled all my uploaded pictures with 3 fair use tags. Cheers!

Having read through the copyright stuff I've decided to go with {{Fairold}} seeing as the image was created at the turn of the century. Evil MonkeyTalk
