Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was DELETE

A band whose only recording so far, as poor quality as it was, sold only 20 copies to friends and relatives. RickK 22:34, Oct 31, 2004 (UTC)

  • "The band has yet to reach critical or popular acclaim." I just love it when articles justify their own deletion. --Slowking Man 22:36, Oct 31, 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: A couple of guys with 20 friends. Best wishes, but this ain't encyclopedic. Geogre 02:00, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Comment: i'm a member of this band. i'm surprised to see that people care enough to want to kick it off. a lot of the stuff that was added was from others reading the entry. there's nothing i can do about that. i think it should stay in. -noah (moved by Nought - looked confusing on the previous position)
    • Comment is by User:64.222.101.126, who created the article. noah/64.222.101.126, please sign your edits by appending ~~~~ (four tildes). It's quick and easy to create an account if you want a more reliable user name than your IP address (just click the link at top right). Pnot 03:56, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • Contrary to noah's assertion, all the content was added from either the IP address 64.222.101.126, or the IP address 64.223.112.87 (which is in the same Verizon dialup pool). (Mr Bound contributed a couple of minor revisions but didn't add any content.) Pnot 03:56, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Comment: you guys are all very nice. it seems a little weird that you care though. out of curiousity, do you work for wikipedia? -noah
    • noah: please don't take offence at being VfD'd: Wikipedia isn't intended to contain absolutely everything, and some things just aren't notable enough to be encyclopaedic. To answer your question, very few people (or perhaps none at all) actually "work" for Wikipedia in the sense of being officially employed. All the contributors (as far as I know) are volunteers, though perhaps a few people are paid to keep the servers running smoothly. Pnot 03:56, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Best of luck to them, but insufficiently notable until such time as they go on to greater things :-). Pnot 03:56, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. We can have an article about this band when they become more well known, but it is not appropriate to advertise oneself or one's per project here in order to gain notability. jni 06:11, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Not notable yet. --Improv 08:30, 1 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Comment: yeah, i put it up from my computer. i think someone went in to fix things from here. it's true, we aren't very famous. i sure got a kick out of having an entry though. -noah
